Outdoor Equipment Distributors, Inc. is a wholesale distributor of outdoor power equipment. We sell to independent retail dealers in Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

OED provides premium outdoor power equipment units, attachments, accessories, and replacement parts to our independent dealers. We also provide backup support for our products with our factory-trained technical service team, customer service team, and sales and marketing team.

As a family-owned business, OED recognizes the value of independent dealers and long-term relationships. We strive to create partnerships with our dealers, realizing that our success is completely dependent on their success.

Our History

OED was originally founded in 1931 as Raleigh Auto Supply. The purchase of 25 lawnmowers in 1955 changed the history of our company. As other opportunities arose to sell similar products, OED converted entirely to the distribution of outdoor power equipment through independent retail dealers.

In 1969 we changed our name to Outdoor Equipment Distributors, Inc. to more accurately reflect the nature of our business. We currently serve over 500 independent dealers across our territory.
